The Women of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area gathered at the Abonnema Stadium on Tuesday, January 28, to celebrate the 50th birthday of His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State.
In her remarks, the Executive Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Tonye Briggs Oniyide, who was represented by the Council Secretary, Barr. Fyneface Itiekemeba, Esq., described the Governor’s birthday as a testament to his tireless efforts, wisdom, and compassion.
The event was organized to Honour the Governor’s exemplary Leadership and unwavering dedication to the growth and development of Rivers State. The Women from different wards of the Local Government Area came out to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Highlights of the event included a praise and worship session, as the women danced in jubilation, and the cutting of a birthday cake in Honour of the Governor’s birthday.
As the celebration drew to a close, the women reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Governor’s vision for a prosperous and harmonious Rivers State. With gratitude in their hearts, they prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection upon His Excellency, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS as he continues to steer the ship of State towards greater heights.
