In a moment of profound significance and celebration, Alabo Dumo Lulu-Briggs was honoured with the Lifetime Africa Achievement Prize in the historic city of Kumasi, Ghana, joining the ranks of Africa’s most distinguished sons and daughters.
The award, one of the continent’s most prestigious recognitions, celebrates outstanding leadership, impact, and service to humanity. For Alabo Lulu-Briggs, it marks a crowning moment in a life devoted to enterprise, tradition, and philanthropy.
Standing before an audience of continental leaders, cultural icons, and changemakers, he described the moment as “one of the greatest honours” of his life, attributing the achievement to “the grace of God, the support of my people, and the resilience of the communities I serve.”
The recognition extends beyond business excellence, shining a light on his enduring contributions to traditional leadership, community development, and philanthropic causes—pillars that have defined his mission and legacy.
“This award is a celebration of the journey we have walked together—as business builders, cultural custodians, and committed servants of humanity,” he remarked.
Alabo Lulu-Briggs dedicated the honour to his business partners, the Kalabari people, the Oruwari Briggs House, and “every African who rises each day with the courage to lead, serve, and uplift others.”

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the African Achievement Awards Committee, and called for continued unity and purpose in building a continent that stands tall on the world stage.
“May we continue to work together in building a continent that shines as a beacon of excellence, unity, and purpose,” he said.
