Born in the United Kingdom to Rose and Rufus Ada-George as their first daughter, her life began with what many describe as a clear mark of divine preservation. At the age of five, she survives a fall from a second-floor balcony with only minor injuries—an early moment that, in retrospect, stands as a testament to a life sustained by grace and set apart for purpose.

Following her family’s return to Nigeria, her formative years were marked by vibrancy and promise. At Uloma Girls’ School, she distinguishes herself through her love for arts, organising dance productions, writing poetry, participating in swimming competitions, and playing musical instruments. Even at a young age, she demonstrated a natural ability to create joy, bring people together, and enliven every space she occupies. Despite moments of adversity, she rose with courage, finding her voice and developing a quiet strength that became a defining part of her character.

Her academic journey, marked by perseverance and determination, led her to study Linguistics and African Languages. She later advanced her education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in London, a significant phase that shaped her personal and professional growth.

It was during this period that her relationship with her husband, Ambassador Idaere Gogo-Ogan—first encountered during her university years—was rekindled and strengthened with clarity and purpose. Their marriage, now spanning over three decades, stands as a reflection of enduring commitment, shared values, and faith sustained through seasons of joy and challenge.

As a mother, Mrs Ogan expresses her creativity in deeply meaningful ways, designing garments for her children while nurturing them with wisdom, warmth, and discipline. Her home is defined by love, laughter, and a strong sense of unity, as she consistently brings lightness of spirit and joy into everyday life. Much like her father, she possesses a natural gift for hospitality, creating welcoming spaces where others feel at ease and connected.

As the first daughter in a family of ten, she embraced responsibility early, serving as a pillar of support, guidance, and stability to her siblings and extended family. She carries her role with dignity, balancing leadership with creativity and preserving a home that became a place of refuge for many both in Nigeria and abroad.

Professionally, her career reflects versatility and purpose. She began in radio as an On-Air Personality, where her gift for communication thrived. In later years, she channeled her creativity into entrepreneurship, establishing a bespoke millinery business that has flourished for over fifteen years, with each design reflecting excellence, artistry, and intentional craftsmanship.

Her spiritual journey remains a defining anchor throughout her life. Deeply committed to service within the church, she contributes significantly to spiritual growth and community life. In the face of the profound loss of her twin son, fondly known as Toku, her faith was tested in unimaginable ways. Yet, even in grief, she found strength in God, who sustained her through that difficult season.

Over time, her faith became the source of restoration, gradually renewing her joy and reaffirming her purpose. This renewal is evident in her active service within her church community, including her return to the choir and participation in prayer fellowships, where she continues to uplift others.

At 60, Mrs Boma Ogan stands in deep gratitude—for life, for family, and for the unwavering faithfulness of God through every season. Her life remains a testament to resilience, service, creativity, and enduring faith, as she continues to embrace her journey with hope and purpose.

Guests at the thanksgiving service paid glowing tributes, highlighting her kindness, joyful spirit, and steadfast commitment to family and community, as they join in celebrating her remarkable life and legacy.
