Counselling Association of Nigeria, Rivers Chapter Announces Its 2025 Anti-Bullying Week

The Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), Rivers State Chapter, has announced activities for its 2025 Anti-Bullying Week, themed “Power for Good.” The campaign, aimed at promoting kindness, empathy, and positive behavior, will run from Monday, November 10, to Friday, November 15, 2025.

According to the schedule released by the chapter, the week will begin with Odd Socks Day on Monday, where members (referred to as RIVCASSONITES) are encouraged to wear mismatched socks as a symbolic stand against bullying and discrimination.

On Tuesday, November 11, members are expected to lead media advocacy by speaking against bullying on radio, television, and other platforms.

Wednesday, November 12, will see RIVCASSONITES organize anti-bullying sensitization seminars in both school and non-school environments. These seminars and awareness campaigns will continue on Thursday, November 14, across the state.

The week will conclude on Friday, November 15, with closing ceremonies organized in various locations.

The Anti-Bullying Committee has also announced that certificates will be awarded to all participating members, while three outstanding RIVCASSONITES will receive special recognition for exemplary contribution to the campaign.

The association stated that the initiative reinforces its commitment to safe learning spaces and mental well-being across Rivers State.
