Urges Unity Of Purpose
A pro Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s advocacy group; Sim-Fubara Stakeholders’ Forum (SSF) has decorated the Executive Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Agiriye Monima Harry, as a Patron and Leader of the organization.
Speaking during a courtesy visit at the Council on Wednesday, the Director-General of SSF Dr. Prince Tonye Jeminimiema, stated that the group was set out to propagate and galvanize support for the re-election of Governor Fubara, owing to his monumental performance in office, maintaining that there is no vacancy in the Brick House until 2031, when the governor would have served out his second term.
They equally commended the Council Chairman for being very accessible, hospitable and generous during their earlier visit to him last year, pledging their resolve to work with his administration.
Responding, the Council Chairman commended them for their support for the governor and democratic tenets, assuring that as a partner in the governor’s project, he would collaborate with them to actualize their aim.
The Council Boss however, advised consolidation and unity of purpose amongst the various pro-Fubara organizations in the State, calling for a unified platform, in order to properly coordinate and streamline things, noting; “unify your various groups for optimum results.”
He urged members of the group to be good ambassadors and continue to support the governor’s administration, which has performed creditably well to advance the development of the State, adding that his administration is very accommodating and ready to work with everyone that is willing.
The SSF used the occasion of the visit to present a commemorative plague to the Council Chairman, to congratulate him on his election victory.
