Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, a distinguished medical doctor, businessman, and philanthropist, has officially handed over a newly constructed lecture auditorium and offices to the University of Port Harcourt’s Computer Science Department. This remarkable project, spearheaded by the Emi Membere Foundation, underscores his unwavering commitment to advancing education, environmental sustainability, and public health.
The handover ceremony, held at the University’s Abuja Campus in Choba, was a grand occasion attended by esteemed guests, including Prof. Owunari Georgewill, Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt; Chief Dr. C.I.T. Numbere-Princewill, Regent of the Kalabari Kingdom; Mr. Esueme Dan Kikile, General Manager of Corporate Communications and Zonal Coordination at NCDMB; as well as business leaders, community representatives, members of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, and students’ union leaders.
