Dr. Samuel Ogbuku Celebrates Mother on 75th Birthday

Over the weekend, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), celebrated his mother’s 75th birthday, reflecting on the love, care, and guidance she provided throughout his life.

In a heartfelt tribute, Dr. Ogbuku recalled how his mother’s tutelage and discipline shaped him and his siblings, keeping them on the right path despite the challenges they faced growing up in Port Harcourt. He expressed gratitude for her sacrifices, strength, and unwavering support, saying her efforts were instrumental in moulding him into the man he is today.

“I thank God for allowing me to express my gratitude to my mother while she is still alive. Many never had the chance to celebrate their mothers, but today we celebrate life,” he said. Dr. Ogbuku prayed for her continued health, hoping to celebrate many more milestones together.

He also acknowledged the support of colleagues and well-wishers who joined the celebration, including the NDDC Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Chief Boma Iyaye; Executive Director, Projects, Sir Victor Antai (PhD); NDDC Directors; and friends.

Dr. Ogbuku concluded by giving glory to God for His grace and mercy in his life and the life of his mother.
