Port Harcourt, Nigeria — The Enjoyment People’s Party (EPP) on Sunday, 16th November 2025, hosted its highly anticipated Annual End-of-Year Mega Sit-Out at the Port Harcourt Club, drawing an impressive crowd of members, supporters, and residents from across the city.
The event now a beloved tradition has continued to gain momentum each year, serving as a social retreat where attendees can unwind, connect, and reflect as the year winds down. This year’s edition seamlessly blended entertainment, community bonding, and mental health advocacy, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to fighting depression and promoting emotional well-being.
The sit-out featured music, games, relaxation spaces, networking sessions, and open conversations that encouraged participants to speak freely, share experiences, and support one another. According to organisers, the initiative was created to remind people of the importance of taking breaks, connecting with others, and finding healthy ways to manage stress in an increasingly demanding world.
Many in attendance described the atmosphere as refreshing, uplifting, and emotionally liberating, noting that it offered a much-needed escape from professional pressures, personal challenges, and daily life demands. She emphasised that the Annual Mega Sit-Out will continue to serve as a platform for strengthening community bonds and supporting individuals who may be dealing with emotional or psychological burdens.
In a heartfelt message shared during the event, organiser reflected on the weight many people silently carry:
“Life can be heavy. Depression does not choose whether you are rich or poor anyone can feel overwhelmed or lost. What matters is recognising when you’re not okay and knowing that connecting with others and choosing joy can make a difference.”
She added that the day was meant to encourage people to release their worries, breathe, smile, and appreciate the moment. The message also reminded guests of the fragility of life:
“Some people wish for the opportunities you have right now. Many have lost jobs; some friends who were with us last year are no longer here. Every day is a blessing, and today we celebrate life, community, and gratitude.”
The Mega Sit-Out was reaffirmed as a people-centered event free of politics, division, or discriminationdesigned purely to foster unity, joy, and togetherness.
