Enjoyment People’s Party Hosts Second Edition of Menopause Awareness Talk Shop
The Enjoyment People’s Party (EPP), under its A Circle of Happiness Initiative, hosted the second edition of its Menopause Awareness Talk Shop, a program aimed at promoting open conversations and knowledge-sharing around women’s health.
Held on the 18th of October, 2025 at the Meal Boss Restaurant in Port Harcourt, the event brought together women from diverse walks of life for an engaging afternoon of education, laughter, and shared experiences. Themed “Facts Myths Symptoms, Breaking the Silence of Menopause” the session sought to demystify menopause and encourage women to embrace this natural stage of life with confidence.
The talk featured two distinguished speakers. Madam Hilda Dokubo, veteran actress and women’s advocate and politician, addressed the social aspects of menopause, highlighting the importance of empathy and community support. Dr. Joyce Okagua, a medical expert, provided a clinical perspective, debunking common myths while offering practical advice on managing symptoms and maintaining overall wellbeing.
Gracefully hosted by Mrs. Mase Bob Manuel, the event reinforced EPP’s commitment to advancing women’s health awareness through open dialogue and continuous education. Over the years, the Talk Shop has evolved into a growing platform for women to learn, connect, and support one another.
Participants described the session as enlightening and refreshing, applauding the initiative for creating a safe space for honest discussions. As the event concluded, it was clear that the conversation around menopause had been not only informative but also empowering.
