In his remarks, Governor Diri thanked Bayelsans for maintaining peace and order despite the heightened political season.
He said the calm and cooperation across the state had allowed government activities to proceed without disruption.
The governor urged that politics should not be seen as a barrier to the brotherly relationship among the people. “Politics should rather be a tool to bring further development to the state,” he stated.
“We have conducted ourselves in a way where politics should not be seen as a barrier to our brotherly fraternal relationship. Politics should be a place where we are all gearing up to save our people and to bring further development to our state”, Governor Diri said.
The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah, handed over an award of excellence received from NECO on behalf of the Governor for the state’s distinguished performance in the examination in 25 years of existence of the body.
