Gov. Diri hosts Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Pan-Kyu to Banquet in Yenagoa
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri hosted visiting South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Kim Pan-Kyu, to a State Banquet in Yenagoa.
Governor Diri, in his remarks noted that the State is prepared for more partnership and ties with the Korean Nation, particularly in the areas of agriculture including aquaculture.
The Governor who assured of the Prosperity Administration’s readiness to have an independent power supply to address epileptic electricity in the State expressed the fact that the State is very peaceful while thanking the South Korean Government for all it has done for the state.
Highpoint of the event was when Governor Diri conferred Ambassador Kim Pan-Kyu with the honorary citizenship of Bayelsa State.
Dignitaries at the event were the Deputy governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Secretary to the State Government l, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Peter Akpe, House of Assembly members, first Military Governor, Old Rivers State, King Alfred Diete Spiff, Commissioners, and top government officials.
