Port Harcourt – In a decisive move to enhance governance and service delivery at the grassroots level, His Excellency, the Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, CFR, has approved the appointment of Administrators for the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State.
This development marks a significant step in stabilizing local administration and ensuring that key services reach citizens more effectively.
In addition, the reconstitution of several Boards of Agencies, Commissions, and Parastatals—previously suspended—has also received official approval.
All appointments are to take effect from Monday, April 7, 2025.
This strategic reorganization reaffirms the Administrator’s commitment to restoring order, efficiency, and inclusive governance across the state.
