IROGHAMA: Tinubu Appoints Private Sector Amazon, As NIMASA’s Governing Board Member

A maritime industry expert, focused and committed to the timely growth of the nation’s Marine and Blue Economy, has been appointed by President Bola Tinubu as a member of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

Cerebral and Information Technology savvy, Iroghama Ogbeifun, before the present appointment was the Chief Executive Officer CEO of the STARZS Group. She is also a product of the prestigious Harvard University.

A statement by the Office of the Secretary General of the Federation said Ms Iroghama Ogbeifun was appointed in accordance with the provisions of Section 5 (1) (d) of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Act, 2007.

Specifically speaking, the President expects Ms Ogbeifun’s appointment to rouse, reinvigorate and positively ignite NIMASA’s management into a new lease of resourcefulness and efficiency.

“Your appointment which is at the pleasure of Mr. President, shall take effect from 24th June, 2025 and your Conditions of Service shall be as provided under Section 5 (5) of the Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency Act, 2007”, the letter directly congratulated the appointee, who had already made indelible marks in the private sector.
