The Rivers State Ministry of Justice has secured a significant victory for the State in Suit No. PHC/3408/CS/2022, before the High Court of Rivers State, Port Harcourt Judicial Division, presided over by Hon. Justice M. Opara.
The Court dismissed in its entirety the ₦20,999,000 claim brought by Sam Egento Company Ltd against the Government of Rivers State, the Attorney-General of Rivers State, and the Rivers State Internal Revenue Service over alleged damage/trespass to its truck at Mbiama.
The Court upheld the position of the Defendants that the Claimant failed to establish a link between the alleged damage and officers of the 3rd Defendant.
