On April 26th, 2025, a solemn and dignified funeral service was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Shekinah Glory Parish, 28 Club Road, off Lagos Bus Stop, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in honor of Late Mrs. Lendi Abraham.

Mrs. Lendi Abraham was born on November 30th, 1934, to the family of Late Pa and Madam Jeremiah Ekwembisa. She began her early education at Igbogene.

She later married the Late Mr. Fleming Sunday Abraham of Igbogene-Epie, living with him in Makurdi, Benue State. Together, they built a life grounded in faith, hard work, and service.

Mama Lendi, as she was fondly known, was a skilled seamstress and confectioner. While her husband worked as a dedicated staff of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mama ventured into trading. She established thriving shops in Port Harcourt and Yenagoa, dealing in plastics and kitchen wares. She was notably a distributor for the now-defunct Metaloplastica, a prominent plastics company based in Port Harcourt.

Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to regularly travel between Port Harcourt and Onitsha, sourcing goods for her businesses.

Mrs. Abraham was a courageous and industrious woman, admired for her candor, charisma, and infectious joy.

A devoted Christian, she was an active member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in the 1980s before joining the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where she worshipped faithfully at Shekinah Glory Parish, Club Road, Port Harcourt.

Though Mama Lendi has gone to be with the Lord, she will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for family life. She had a radiant smile and a hearty laugh that brought comfort and warmth to all around her.

She was a loving mother of ten children (five of whom predeceased her), a proud grandmother of fourteen, a great-grandmother of ten, and a stepmother to two daughters—all of whom cherish her enduring memory.

Mrs. Abraham’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of kindness, resilience, and service will continue to inspire generations to come.

Following the funeral service, her remains were laid to rest at the Port Harcourt Cemetery, marking the conclusion of a remarkable life of nearly a century—a life of strength, purpose, and grace.
