The 3rd Namibia Oil and Gas Conference (NOGC 2025) was officially launched yesterday (2 June) setting the stage for a landmark event from 12–15 August in Windhoek. Under the theme; ‘From Exploration to Action: Positioning Namibia as the Next Energy Frontier,’ the conference aims to accelerate Namibia’s emergence as a regional energy powerhouse.
With an expanded programme designed to address the most pressing topics in energy, oil and gas, this year’s event promises more insights, more networking and more business opportunities than ever before.
Speaking at the event, Manager Marketing, Communication and Public Relations of NAMCOR Paulo Coelho commented; “This year, as we look ahead to the main event in August, we are particularly excited about the theme: “From Exploration to Action: Positioning Namibia as the next Energy Frontier,” A theme which aligns with our dedication to moving beyond just discovering resources, we are now focused on taking real steps to grow the industry and place Namibia at the center of the global energy stage.”
Economic Association of Namibia Deputy Chairman, Jesaya Hano-Oshike highlighted the conference’s growth: “We are excited to expand the conference for 2025 and place a stronger emphasis on positioning Namibia as the next energy frontier. The NOGC exhibition saw a 52% growth from the inaugural event in 2023 to 2024 and 40% increase in attendees within the same period. NOGC 2025 will be doubling in size with the introduction of a new hall to give access to more entrepreneurs, SMEs and new entrants to the market at this year’s event.”
Hano-Oshike added; “The oil and gas industry is rapidly evolving, and Namibia must keep up by taking clear steps to build and manage its energy future.”
Margreth Gustavo, NIPDB’s Executive Director of Strategy & Branding, outlined the strategic focus: “Looking ahead, our strategic focus for the 2025 edition of the conference and beyond revolves around three core pillars: Unlocking Investment-Ready Supply Chain Opportunities, Deepening Local Content and Industrial Participation and Fostering Youth Employment Through Skills Development. NIPDB remains committed to working with all our partners to ensure that this sector delivers on its promise not just in GDP terms, but in the tangible improvement of livelihoods, the strengthening of our institutions and the diversification of our industrial base.”
