Yesterday, a strong delegation from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), participated in the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (@officialnlng) Community Vendors Capacity Development Programme 2025 held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Representatives from various directorates of the Board delivered presentations on its guidelines, opportunities, and operations.
Ogede Elvis, from the Project Certification and Authorization Directorate (PCAD), delivered a presentation on the functions of the directorate. He highlighted opportunities and enablers for community vendors in contracting, the roles of the division, and Nigeria’s content enablers for community vendors, as well as capacity development needs.
Engr. Victor Babarinde Olumuyiwa, Deputy Manager of NOGICJQS, gave a presentation on the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Joint Qualification System (JQS). He discussed the key features and modules of the system, registration procedures, and its benefits.
Mr. Turner Erefagha, from the Directorate of Finance and Personnel Management, discussed financing opportunities available for the growth and benefit of community vendors. He focused on access to funding for local enterprises, the Community Contractors Finance Scheme (CCFS), and other NCI fund models managed by development banks.
Adebayo Joseph, Manager of Projects, presented on the Community Content Guidelines (CCG). He explained the relevant provisions of the Nigerian Content Act on community content, the objectives of the CCG, the community content framework, and the implications of non-compliance.
Engr. Dokubo Obongo, from the Capacity Building Division, delivered a presentation on the Community Vendors Capacity Development Programme. He outlined the core responsibilities of the Directorate of Capacity Building.
