In a significant display of respect and admiration, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his wife, Olori Ebunola, paid a courtesy visit to former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
During the visit, the monarch presented sacred Ife bronze artifacts to Dr. Jonathan, hailing him as “a divine gift to humanity.” The Olori, in her own remarks, praised Dame Patience Jonathan’s legacy of compassion, highlighting her philanthropic work.
The royal couple later visited Mama Eunice Jonathan’s residence in Otuoke, where they offered symbolic gifts in recognition of Dr. Jonathan’s humble beginnings.
The visit was attended by prominent dignitaries, including HRM King A.J. Turner, HRH David Osene Ogbolo, HRH Lucky Chukwuigwe, Hon. Robert Enougha Ayala, and others.
