Otti Says Successor in 2031 Will Be Better as Abia Enters Era of Aggressive Development
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has expressed confidence that his successor come 2031 will outperform him, saying his administration is laying a solid foundation for sustained development in the state.
The governor made the remark during a reception organised in his honour by the Assemblies of God Church, Okaiuga–Nkwoegwu, Umuahia North Local Government Area. He said Abia has entered a season of aggressive development and declared that the challenges that previously hindered the state’s progress had been overcome.
Governor Otti assured the church of the delivery of a Hummer bus for evangelism, donated by Prince Arthur Eze, and directed the Chief of Staff to engage church leaders on modalities for allocating land for a prayer camp.
Earlier, the District Superintendent of the church, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Ogbudu, described Governor Otti as a transformational leader, citing improvements in infrastructure, fiscal discipline, transparency, and governance, which he said have repositioned Abia State for economic growth.
Several government officials, lawmakers, and political appointees attended the reception.
