PAP Administrator Congratulates Tompolo on Honorary Doctorate Award

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, has congratulated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his conferment of an Honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) by Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, Delta State.

The honour was bestowed during the institution’s 4th–7th combined convocation ceremonies in recognition of Tompolo’s contributions to peacebuilding and educational development in the Niger Delta.

Dr. Otuaro described the award as well-deserved, noting Tompolo’s longstanding commitment to peace, stability and progress in the region. He highlighted Tompolo’s key role in promoting dialogue, community engagement and non-violent conflict resolution, which he said has strengthened national security and supported economic stability.

According to a statement by PAP Media Assistant, Igoniko Oduma, Tompolo’s philanthropy, humanitarian efforts and investments in education and youth empowerment further underline his deep dedication to the welfare of his people.

“Tompolo’s generosity and love for humanity distinguish him as a leader of rare character,” Otuaro said, commending Edwin Clark University for honouring a figure whose impact resonates across the Niger Delta.

He urged other institutions to celebrate individuals who advance society through selfless service and prayed for continued wisdom, long life and strength for Tompolo.
