PHOTO NEWS: Fubara Joins NEC Committee to Inspect Police Training School in Nonwa-Tai

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Thursday joined members of the National Economic Council (NEC) Committee on Security Training Institutions during their inspection visit to the Police Training School in Nonwa-Tai, Tai Local Government Area.

The delegation was led by the committee chairman and Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Mbah. Also present were Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, former Inspector-General of Police and committee secretary, Baba Usman, and AIG Olatunji Disu of the Special Protection Unit (SPU).

The visit focused on assessing the condition of the training facility, which has remained largely underutilized since 2022. Governor Fubara’s participation underscores Rivers State’s active role in ongoing national security reform efforts.

Meanwhile, Governor Fubara also received the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, who was in Port Harcourt for the National Town Hall Meeting and the official launch of the Ember Months Road Safety Campaign.

Governor Fubara reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting improved security operations and ensuring the safety of all residents.
