A grand reception was held in honor of Lady Ibiba, who celebrated her 60th birth anniversary on April 21st, 2025, at Aztech Arcum Stadium Road, Port Harcourt. Prior to the reception, a thanksgiving church service was held earlier in the day at Wesley Methodist Church, Harbour Road, Port Harcourt.
The church was filled with jubilation, and the atmosphere was electric as attendees appeared in different colors of beautiful and glamorous asoebi attire, joining her to sing songs of praise and thanksgiving to God and offer prayers of gratitude for her life. The officiating minister read Lady Ibiba’s favorite scripture, thanked God for her life, and noted that she had lived a good life worth emulation.
He told the congregants that if they wanted to look as young as the celebrant at 60, they should love God as much as she has loved Him and even more.
During the thanksgiving service, Lady Ibiba Omotoso expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God for blessing her with a long and fulfilling life, allowing her to reach the remarkable milestone of 60 years. In a joyous display of devotion, she sang and danced, pouring out her thankfulness to the Almighty. The former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Ameachi, described Lady Ibiba as a virtuous woman and a good friend. He thanked God for her life and also thanked her husband, Mr. Kayode Omotoso, for taking care of her. He said that her life was a testament that being a good person pays.
