Rivers-born Music Executive Soso Soberekon Joins NDDC MD at Strategic Stakeholders Meeting in Port Harcourt
Rivers State-born music executive and philanthropist, Soso Soberekon, popularly known as White Lion, joined the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, at the Commission’s Two-Day Strategic Stakeholders Meeting on Agriculture, Fisheries, and Livestock Development held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Soberekon, through his personal education support initiative, is currently paying school fees for 23 students from Rivers State, with one beneficiary representing each of the state’s 23 local government areas. The beneficiaries are drawn from various tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across the state.
The NDDC’s strategic meeting brings together Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, and Directors of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Livestock from the nine Niger Delta states to strengthen collaboration and unlock the agricultural potential of the region.
The two-day event, themed “Unlocking the Agricultural Potential of the Niger Delta,” is expected to produce actionable outcomes aimed at enhancing food security, promoting agribusiness, and fostering sustainable development across the region.
