In a majestic celebration of love and unity, Ann-Marie Bonam Cannon-Ikurusi, daughter of HRH R.W.I. Samuel Sambo X, Amadabo of Sambo Ama, Twon Brass, Bayelsa State, exchanged vows with her beloved, Ifeanyi Emmanuel Anozia, on December 20th and 21st, 2024. The traditional and white wedding ceremonies were a testament to the couple’s commitment to each other and their heritage.
The traditional marriage ceremony, held in Port Harcourt, was a vibrant display of culture and tradition. Friends, family, and well-wishers gathered to witness the union, which was sealed with the traditional rites. The grand reception that followed was a joyous celebration, with guests feasting and merrymaking into the night.
The white wedding ceremony, held at Foundation Faith Church, Faith Avenue, Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt, was a beautiful and intimate affair. The bride, resplendent in her white gown, was given away by her father, HRH R.W.I. Samuel Sambo X, in a poignant moment that left many in attendance teary-eyed. The ceremony was followed by a reception party at Gordsonville by Escape Hotel, Bozgomero Estate, Port Harcourt, where guests were treated to fine dining, music, and dancing.
The ceremony was attended by a plethora of dignitaries, including HRH Beinbo Rufus Cannon, Amadabo of Cannon Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom; HRH O Tonye Efebo Shidi Amadabo of Shidi Ama Twon Bras Kingdom; His Highness William Sinteh of Kemmer Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom; and HRH (Hon) Israel Sunny Goli Kemmer V, Amadabo of Kemmer Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom, among others.
