Vice President Kashim Shettima has declared that women will lead Africa’s economic transformation, as Nigeria launches Project #ShelsIncluded to bridge gender gaps in finance and economic opportunities.
Speaking at the 2025 Gender Inclusion Conference in Abuja, Shettima emphasized that gender inclusion is not just a slogan but a pillar of national development.
Backed by government and private sector leaders, the initiative will reach all 774 LGAs, focusing on education, financial literacy, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
Stakeholders, including UBA’s Oliver Alawuba, stressed that gender inclusion is the key to breaking poverty cycles and unlocking Nigeria’s economic potential.
