Tinubu Swears In Five New Permanent Secretaries, NPC Chairman

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday swore in five newly appointed permanent secretaries to fill vacancies in the federal civil service.

The brief swearing-in ceremony took place at the State House, Abuja, ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by the President.

The new permanent secretaries are Abdulkarim Ibrahim (North Central), Dr John Ezeamama, Dr Abdul Sule Garba (North West), Dr Ishiyaku Mohammed (North East), and Dr Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu (South East). Tinubu administered the oath of office to all five officials.

The President also swore in the Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Aminu Yusuf, alongside two newly appointed commissioners.

A minute of silence was observed in honour of Joy Ogwu, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, who died on October 13 at the age of 79.
