Port Harcourt, December 2024 – Tonte Joseph Davies marked a double milestone as he celebrated his birthday and retirement from the civil service with a heartfelt thanksgiving service at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel, D/line), Port Harcourt.
The thanksgiving was a tribute to God’s faithfulness and grace over his life, as well as gratitude for the new age added to him. The service was filled with worship and reflection, celebrating the journey of a life devoted to service and faith.
Following the service, a reception was held where Pastor Tonte Joseph Davies shared his testimony, recounting how God had guided him through his years as a civil servant and sustained him through challenges along the way.
In his speech, Pastor Tonte acknowledged God’s hand upon his life, expressing his unwavering devotion to the Almighty. He also attributed his recent elevation as the administrator of Greater Port Harcourt City Development to God’s divine favor, highlighting the role of the Rivers State Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalaye Fubara, as the vessel God used to position him for this honor.
The celebration was a testament to a life of faith, service, and gratitude, inspiring all who attended to reflect on God’s faithfulness in their own lives.
The event was grace by the deputy governor of Rivers State, Prof. Ngozi Ordu, the secretary to the state government, Alabo Dr. Tammy Danagogo, the speaker Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo, the chief of staff, Hon. Edison Ehie, the commissioner for Youths, finance, Chairmen of LGA’s, Ministers of different denomination and other notable personalities were present.
