The Guards Polo Club once again played host to the prestigious Unity Cup as it welcomed the Lagos Polo Club for the much-anticipated 2025 edition of the tournament. Held on the historic Smith’s Lawn, the game commenced at 12 noon on The Duke’s Ground, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of polo aficionados and dignitaries.

Adding prestige to the event, Iyene Amapakabo, Chairman of the Nigeria Polo Association (NPA) and a respected figure in the aviation industry, led a special delegation to the tournament. Amapakabo, who also serves as the Patron and Captain of the Port Harcourt-based Wilten Aviation Polo Team, reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to fostering unity and excellence in the sport of kings.
