Warri Kingdom hosts Her Excellency, Senator Fanny Moussokoura Chantal, Vice President of the Senate of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, a proud daughter of the Kingdom, who hails from Ogheye-Eghoroke community.
Accompanied by her family members and the Ivorian ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Kalilou Traore, the special envoy were treated to a royal welcome with the full display of our rich culture and tradition.
The day commenced with a Town Hall Meeting at Aghofen, the Palace of the Olu of Warri, themed ‘The Role of Women in Community Development’ In her keynote address, Senator Fanny Moussokoura Chantal announced her generous gift to the Warri Kingdom-the establishment of a French Primary School, a testament to her enduring commitment to her roots.
In recognition of her remarkable achievements, His Majesty Ôgíame Atuwatse III CFR conferred upon Her excellency the distinguished Royal Order of Iwere (ROl), an award reserved for illustrious and exceptional men and women recognized by His Majesty for their exemplary contributions in their respective endeavors.
Followed by the colorful cultural displays by the Ogheye-Eghoroke community, currently serving their Ghigho Aghofen tenure, adding grandeur to the occasion and showcasing the vibrancy of Itsekiri heritage.
This remarkable day serves as another clarion call to all Itsekiris around the world to come and unite in building the greatness of our Warri Kingdom.
