An emergency meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoTs) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on Wednesday.
When the last BoTs meeting held, the session was greeted with fierce altercations and physical fights.
Such stemmed from the tussle between Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Hon Sunday Ude-Okoye over who is national secretary of PDP.
Speaking at the BoTs emergency meeting, before going into closed door session, the BoTs Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, hinted that henceforth, they will be having their meetings outside the party’s national secretariat.
This will remain so until appropriate security measures are provided at the party headquarters secretariat to guarantee everybody’s safety.

He also thanked the PDP Governors Forum and the National Working Committee NWC for fixing 13th March 2025 for the long anticipated National Executive Council NEC meeting.
Senator Wabara enthused that the upcoming NEC meeting will be platform for critical deliberations that will shaped the future of the the PDP and by extension Nigeria.
