The Delta State Government has pledged to work with relevant security agencies, including Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services, to apprehend those responsible for the recent vandalism of the NNPCL/Chevron Oil facility at the Dibi-Abiteye Flow Station in Warri North Local Government Area on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
In a statement released on Monday, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, condemned the act as economic sabotage, emphasizing that the state will leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Dr. Emu reassured Chevron Nigeria Limited and other oil operators in the state of the government’s unwavering support for their operations. He urged host communities to cooperate in identifying and prosecuting those responsible, warning that the government would take decisive action against any individuals or groups attempting to disrupt oil exploration activities.
“Government is resolute in its commitment to sustaining the current tempo of oil exploration in Delta State. We will not tolerate any acts of sabotage that threaten the economic stability of the state or the nation,” Dr. Emu stated.
The collaboration between the government, security agencies, and Tantita Security Services underscores the administration’s determination to safeguard critical oil infrastructure and ensure a secure environment for economic activities.
