Members of the Port Harcourt City One Love Family, on the 17th of February, visited the family of Dr. Herbert Wigwe to offer their condolences following the unexpected passing of him, his wife, and his son.
The delegation was led by Sir Adokiye Tombomiye (FNSE, OON), in what was an emotional, and somber time spent with the Wigwe family reminiscing on the character and persons of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba Wigwe, and son, Chizi.
In an additional visit to the longtime friend of Dr. Wigwe , and the Team Lead, Port Harcourt City One Love Family, Ambassador Idaere Gogo Ogan said “…Herbert, a great son of Isiokpo, …During the launch of Access Bank Paris at a private reception with the French President, i said to him, God has been good to you. So… I thank God for the legacy our brother, our friend left behind. It is our job now to promote that legacy. “
Dr. Herbert Wigwe was a committed member, and a major, strong pillar of the Port Harcourt City One Love Family – an association built on the ideals of restoring the lost glory of Port Harcourt, through friendship and brotherly love beyond ethnic and religious biases.
During his time, Dr. Wigwe could be counted on to offer his support to the steps taken by the Port Harcourt City One Love Family in sustaining one love, peace and unity in the hearts of those who were either born, schooled, resided or worked in Port Harcourt through the 50s to the 80s.
He will be greatly missed by the members of the Port Harcourt City One Love Family for his steady presence as a brother, friend and inspiration.
